Key Voting Dates for the June 2, 2026 Primary

  • March 24, 2026 – First day to request an absentee ballot, call the Warren County Auditor’s Office to receive an absentee ballot request form at (515) 690-9180.
  • May 13, 2026 – First day of early in-person voting at the Warren County Administration Building, 301 N. Buxton, Auditorium (enter through the SW doors). Hours: M-F, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • May 13, 2026 – Auditor’s office begins mailing absentee ballots. (Complete the ballot ASAP and return.)
  • May 18, 2026 (by 5 p.m.) – Last day to request an absentee ballot. All ballot requests must be received at the auditor’s office by 5 p.m.
  • May 18, 2026 – (SATELLITE LOCATION – this day only!) Early in-person voting at New Life Lutheran Church, 4380 Wakonda Drive, Norwalk, 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. All Warren County residents may vote here.
  • June 1, 2026 – Last day of early in-person voting.
  • June 2, 2026 – Election DAY! Polls will be open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. All absentee ballots must be returned to the auditor’s office by 8 p.m. You may also surrender your absentee ballot at your polling location if you prefer to vote in person.
